DA’s Office and Jamestown Police Partner for Community Buy Out at Tarp Skunks Game

Submitted by Justin Gould on

The District Attorney's Office and the Jamestown Police Department are excited to announce a community buyout event for the Jamestown Tarp Skunks game on Wednesday, July 17th at 6:30 p.m. This initiative is part of the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) grant, aimed at reducing gun violence and fostering a safer community.

The event promises to be a memorable evening for all attendees. An officer from the Jamestown Police Department and members of the District Attorney's Office will be present to engage with the community and answer any questions they might have. This is a unique opportunity for residents to interact with local law enforcement in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Adding to the evening’s excitement, either District Attorney Jason Schmidt or Chief Tim Jackson will have the honor of throwing out the first pitch. Additionally, a Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and an officer from the Probation Department may also be in attendance, further emphasizing the collaborative effort of local law enforcement agencies to connect with the community.

Tickets for the game are available for free. Those interested can pick them up at the District Attorney's Office or at the game itself. This initiative not only supports the local Tarp Skunks team but also aims to bring the community together in a positive and enjoyable setting.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic event! Come out to the ballpark, enjoy a great game, and take the chance to connect with your local law enforcement officers. Let’s show our support for the Jamestown Tarp Skunks and our dedication to a safer, stronger community.
