MAYVILLE, N.Y. – The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services is proud to announce the launch of a new Public Assistance Shelter Supplement (PASS) initiative to further the county’s effort to address rising housing insecurity and homelessness in our community.

Grief is a deeply personal journey, and when that grief stems from suicide loss, it can feel particularly isolating. In an effort to provide support and healing for those navigating this unique loss, the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, in conjunction with the Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene (CCDMH) is offering a Virtual Suicide Bereavement Support Group this spring.
Jamestown Man Resentenced to 18 Years for First-Degree Rape and Criminal Sex Act
District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced Monday, March 31st, Dennis Park, age 40, of Jamestown, was resentenced to 18 years in state prison with 25 years post-release supervision on a conviction of Rape in the First Degree, a class B felony, and 18 years with 25 years post-release supervision on a conviction of Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree, a class B felony.
Jamestown Man Sentenced for Contraband, Adding to Homicide Sentence
District Attorney Jason Schmidt has announced that, on March 31st, Randall Rolison, age 61, of Jamestown, was sentenced on his conviction for Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a class D felony, to 2 to 4 years in state prison to run consecutive to the lengthy prison sentences Mr. Rolison received last year as a result of his convictions on two separate vehicular homicides.
Corps to host virtual public meeting for Chautauqua Lake Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project
