JAMESTOWN, NY – The Glow Your Mind 5K, hosted by the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, lit up Jackson-Taylor Park Saturday, September 28, 2024 evening as runners, walkers, and supporters gathered to show their commitment to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. With glowing gear, high spirits, and a shared purpose, the event brought the community together in a memorable way to close out the end of Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
A special highlight of the evening was the generous donation from Brad Barmore, founder of Eager to Run (E2R), a company dedicated to connecting people eager to run, jog, or walk-through community, motivation, and education. Brad’s contribution will help further the mission of the Suicide Prevention Alliance to promote mental wellness and provide life-saving resources to those in need.
“Eager to Run is all about building a community that motivates and uplifts one another, and we’re proud to support the Suicide Prevention Alliance in their efforts to do the same,” Brad shared. “It’s an honor to be part of an event that brings people together for such an important cause.”

Keeping the pace and the race on track, David Reinhardt of Trackqua provided race timing. The evening was wrapped up with a vibrant Glow Party featuring music by DJ Vic, photos by Jermaine James Photography, face painting by Festive Faces Painting by Jen, and more! The Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County extends a heartfelt thank you to The resource Center, GLYS of western NY, all the participants, local businesses, and organizations that made this event a success, including the best cheer section ever, the State University of New York at Fredonia’s Women’s Lacrosse team.
