Public Hearings Scheduled for Chautauqua County Child and Family Services Five-Year Plan
MAYVILLE, N.Y. – The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services will hold public hearings on October 11, 2024, as part of the development of the Chautauqua County Child and Family Services five-year county plan.

Local State of Emergency & Emergency Orders No. 1 & No. 2 Extended
MAYVILLE, N.Y. – Chautauqua County Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. has extended the county’s State of Emergency, first issued on May 18, 2023, Emergency Order No. 1, first issued on May 18, 2023, and Emergency Order No. 2, first issued on September 29, 2023.
Grand Jury Indicts Two Jamestown Residents for Methamphetamine Smuggling in County Jail
District Attorney Jason Schmidt announces that on August 22nd a Chautauqua County Grand Jury indicted Debbie Hires, age 57, and Randall Rolison, age 61, both of Jamestown, on charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree. The indictment alleges that Ms. Hires gave a quantity of methamphetamine to Mr.
Boil Water Order And Mandatory Water Use Restrictions Lifted For Village Of Brocton And Town Of Portland Water Customers
MAYVILLE, N.Y. - The Chautauqua County Health Department (CCHD) has lifted the water conservation order for all Town of Portland and Village of Brocton water customers and has lifted the boil water order for water customers on Webster, Ellicott, and Dahlberg Roads.
